Ultralights at the Indianapolis Air Show

The Ultralight field is home during the Indianapolis Air Show to many primitive as well as modern flight vehicles. Hometown aviators have flown their planes in for display. Weather permitting, they will fly before and after the air show showing you their unique and simple flight characteristics. Ultralights allow you to feel the physics of flight like no other vehicle or plane. Our aviators consist of instructors, hobbyists and some of the most nationally experienced pilots in the country. Safety procedures and simplicity make these planes one of the most affordable forms of flight. Modern 2-seat planes receive FAA airworthy certificates and annual inspections to promote standardization and safety.
